Make your own Wedding Planner Diary.

A friend of mine is getting hitched and so the other day while the couple sat and made note of the budget , venue and other important wedding related matters I realized that they should have a well organised planner where everything could be jolted down systematically . This gave me the idea for a wedding planner book. Something that after the wedding she could also keep as a memento of how she went about planning this wonderful day in her life . One day perhaps she could pass it down to her daughters.
So I offered to make her a wedding planner.
Let me share my experience and ideas that I used while making this wedding planner.

Firstly I make a list of things that the planner would be used for.

  • Guest list
  • Budget
  • Dress & Suit designs
  • Flower arrangements, Video & photography
  • Reception
I also realized that they will need a place to keep important papers and business cards.
Keeping all this in mind I decided to make a Filing Folder so that she can add extra sections if needed and even remove whatever is not needed.

Finding all the stationary items  proved to be easy. I just headed to the nearest Daiso.
Daiso never seems to fail me whenever I have DIY idea.

So now I had my A5 file because A4 I believe will be to big to carry around. I bought a regular A5 note book with punch holes to place inside the file for writing material. Colorful Chart paper to make the dividers and some sticky notes that she could use wherever needed.

Let me also remind you that am not really artistic I just have a passion for DIY items and anything to do with weddings always excite me.

I have a few pictures of the planner right here below.

Here you will see that I have first put the section for the guest list since I believe its very important to know how many people you plan on inviting and accordingly you can then move on to your budget.
Also here I placed the envelope for the couple to place their worries in. When things go wrong it seems really tough to sometimes find the solution in an instant.By placing it in here they can have some time away from the problem and then face it whenever they feel stronger to deal with it as a couple.
Here I also placed the folder for important business cards as you can see.

I place the all important budget section next and also added more pages here so all the bills can be accounted for and recorded here.

This section is quite self explanatory.

This is another important section where they can mention all that is necessary for the D day.

Appointments with caterers , DJ , priest etc can be jolted down here.

This section can be used for dress patters and color shades and fitting measurements for the bridal party.

I attached this sticky note section at the end . For me  sticky notes have always proved to be useful right from school and I still use them at work now. Am sure the Bride will find them useful too.

And Voila my wedding planner was ready in no time. I kept it simple and easy to use. As I said earlier am not very creative hence used this online site www.canva.com to make a lovely front page for the Planner.

I hope the bride finds it to her advantage and I hope this blog helps you guys to create something that can be cherished

Life since 2011

So its been 6 years since I last posted anything on this blog. My Pursuit of Life was forgotten for these past 6 years. Not in the real sense though. Even though I forgot about my Blog I still continued to pursue my life goals.
When I last posted I was a bored destination expert  in a travel company sitting behind the desk and planning vacations for strangers and dreaming about when my own life would take off on an adventure.
Lucky for me I grew closer to my dreams one step at a time.
Thanks to my supportive and loving father I joined an Indian Airline carrier as a flight attendant. Truth be told, I always wanted to be a flight attendant and see the world however lacked the confidence in my abilities. A push in the right direction by daddy dearest and I was on my way in the right direction.
I discovered a passion for my job. I loved waking up at odd hours putting on my uniform and make up and turning up like a ray of sunshine for my flights. A Ray of sunshine seems like the right words to describe my bright yellow uniform.

Two years later I was ready for the big players. My personal life needed a change of atmosphere as well. So with new resolve for a brighter future I came to Abu Dhabi - The land of Sun , Sand & Habibi's.

Life ever since has been moving with lightening speed. Its been 4 year with Etihad Airways
as a Flight Attendant, I love every second of it.
The reason I believe its been ages since I last posted is because my life has been so busy travelling to such wonderful and exotic countries and at the same time being in love with an amazing man . I live out of my suitcase. Today for example I woke up in Germany, will sleep in Abu dhabi and tomorrow I will have lunch in the Maldives.

I have a new Pursuit now....I want to see the world.
When I die I want the world to say " Wanderlust consumed her; foreign hearts and exotic lands compelled her. She had a gypsy soul and a vibrant hope for the unknown".
